Every day and always. As a white artist of settler descent living in unceded Wabanaki territory, I’m exploring and practicing ways to make this saying, not a token, but a living vow.  I don’t always know how to do this, but I know that actively rejecting supremacy and seeking ways I/we can decolonize ourselves, our institutions, and the systems around us is vital to ALL our well-being.  Decolonizing the Music Room is one resource that’s been so valuable to me as a performer and teaching artist.
